Bad road in Odisha’s Putagaon takes lives of mother and infant both. A pregnant woman in Malkangiri district died along with her newly born baby on Monday. After she developed labour pain, the family members called an ambulance to take her to the hospital. However, the roads were so bad that the ambulance could not be fetched to the hospital on time.
Putagaon is a small village that falls under Mathili block in Malkangiri district of Odisha. The that connects the village to the town is so bad that even an ambulance had to struggle badly enough to fetch to the nearest hospital.
However, she was rushed to the Mathili community health centre but unfortunately none of them could be saved. Even the doctor’s struggle could not save either the child or the mother.
