While addressing a gathering at Sultanganj, Bihar on Wednesday, Bihar’s Animal and Fisheries Resources Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras said that 903 veterinarians will be resumed soon in Bihar.
He said that looking at the huge shortage of veterinaries, there is an urgent need of a step to be taken. Of the 21 hundred sanctioned posts over, 900 are vacant, which will be reinstated by the end of September. He assured to repair and strengthen the mechanism of animal hospitals.
Speaking further in the context of animal and fisheries, Pashupati Paras announced 90% subsidy for the SC-ST category and 40% subsidy for general category over fish production.
“5.85 lakh tonnes of fish is being currently produced. In the next two years, a target of producing 6.52 lakh tonnes has been set. After that the fish will not be imported from the outside, rather it will be exported to other states from here (Bihar),” added Pashupati Paras.
Officials present at the gathering have said that work is under process and the announced revisions in the system will be implemented soon.
