Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 Prize Money
According to the official prize money distribution, the total pool for this World Cup is close to $13.5 million (around ₹110 crore), up significantly from earlier editions.
Within this, the champion team earns about $3 million, runners-up about $1.5 million, semi-finalists roughly $700,000 each, and teams that reach the Super 8 phase receive $380,000 each. All participating teams are also entitled to a participation fee of $250,000.
T20 World Cup Points Table Twist: How India Could Be Eliminated Despite Wins
Pakistan’s Campaign: Early Exit But Earnings on the Board
Despite promising moments including a Super 8 victory they failed to qualify for the semi-finals and were eliminated at that stage of the competition.
The ICC’s structured prize money ensures teams outside the final four still earn a guaranteed payout based on their progression:
- Super 8 Stage payout: US$380,000 (approx. ₹3 crore)
- Match win bonuses: Pakistan secured four wins across group and Super 8 matches; under ICC rules, teams receive additional match-win payments (approximately US$31,154 per win, roughly ₹25-28 lakh each).
When added together, Pakistan’s earnings approximate US$500,000-$550,000 in total ICC prize money from this World Cup campaign translating into around ₹4 crore to ₹5 crore based on current exchange estimates.
What Pakistan’s Board and Players Gain?
From a broader financial viewpoint, this prize money while modest compared with what finalists earn still represents important revenue for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the team’s internal finances. The ICC prize money typically goes to the cricket board first; individual player shares and bonuses are then distributed according to national board policy.
The previous ICC events provide context for understanding Pakistan’s earnings in 2026. The tournament awarded more than US$250,000 to teams which lost their matches in the group stage because the money included both match victories and participation fees.
