While addressing a meeting of opposition leaders, Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday hit out at the centre for having failed to fulfil its promises. He said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi wanted to create a ‘Swachch Bharat’ but people wanted a ‘Sach Bharat’.

“Modiji says he wants to create a Swachch Bharat but we want Sach Bharat. Wherever he goes he lies,” Rahul said.

A meeting of opposition leaders was hosted by rebel JD(U) leader, Sharad Yadav, in the national capital, where Rahul called the government’s flagship programme ‘Make in India’ a farce.

“Modiji gave ‘Make In India’ but most things are ‘Made In China’. Truth is that Modiji’s Make In India has failed,” he quoted.

He also accused the BJP of not fulfilling the promises made to the people during the 2014 general elections.

He also attacked the RSS, saying that the right-wing organisation had accepted the national flag only after its ideological child, the BJP came to power in 2014.

“Jab tak inhone (RSS) Hindustan mein raaj nahi kiya tab tak jhande ko salute nahi mara,” Rahul said.

“There are two ways of viewing the country. One says ‘this country is mine’, the other says ‘I belong to the country’. That’s the difference between RSS and us,” Rahul said.
