Terming Prime Minister Modi as an old man, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Friday said they will form government of young people in Uttar Pradesh.
“Hum yuvaaon ki sarkar laaenge Modi Ji ki aayu hogai hai, vo buzurg hogaye hain, unki age hogai hai (We will form a government of young people. Age has caught up with Modi. He has become an old man. Age is showing (impact) on him,” he said.
He added that Congress and Samajwadi Party government will make Uttar Pradesh the manufacturing hub of the world. He said that the world will see ‘Made in UP’ products instead of ‘Made in China’ products if Congress and SP government comes to power.
“You work hard and Narendra Modi gives the benefit of your hardwork to 50 families of his choice. We will give you the benefits of your labour,” he said.
“Rs 1,200 crore was given to Vijay Mallya and Rs 1.40 lakh crores were given to 50 families close to Modiji, we will give that money to the youth and people of Uttar Pradesh,” he added
Slamming PM Modi for making false promises with the people of the state, Rahul Gandhi said that Modi has failed to bring acche din.
“PM Modi’s film about ‘achhe din’ is a big flop, no one will watch it,” he said.
“Why Modiji did not speak about the unfulfilled promises during the rally. Had he fulfilled those, he won’t have to hold three road shows in Varanasi,” he said.
“Modi thinks that he does everything himself. The ISRO launched rocket into space, Modi says he did it,” he said.
“He goes to America to meet (former US president) Barack Obama. Modi tells Sushma Swaraj to sit back home as you are not required there, I am going to America,” he added.
