UP Polls: Alliance will be the answer to people who made nation stand in queues, says Akhilesh

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav jointly addressed a press conference at 1 pm on Sunday after which they will take out a road show in the state.
The roadshow will begin from the GPO Park and will go through the Mayfair roundabout to Lalbagh, Novelty roundabout and then will move to Qaiserbagh through Muslim dominated areas like Aminabad and old city. Later Gandhi and Yadav will go to Nakkhas, Chowk, Ghantaghar where the road show will conclude, The Financial Express reported.
High security arrangements have been made for the road show. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and Akhilesh’s wife Dimple Yadav will also address the rally.
“The alliance has made the personal and political relationship between Akhilesh and me better,” Rahul said at the press conference in Lucknow.
Akhilesh said that the alliance will be the answer to those people who made the nation stand in queues.
Speaking about Priyanka Gandhi’s role in the upcoming polls, Rahul said “Priyanka has been of tremendous help to me and I have been so to her, if she campaigns or not is her choice; she is an asset to Congress.”
Calling BJP Ideology dangerous to people, Rahul said that the alliance will teach Modi, BJP and RSS that UP people are one and they can’t be divided.
Gandhi added that BSP ideology is not dangerous and herespects Mayawati, though she made some mistakes.
Akhilesh had shared stage with a Congress leader in Lakhimpur Kheri district.He called the alliance a “winning combination” and that there was no doubt it would go on to form the next government with a majority.
On Sunday, The alliance between the Congress party and Samajwadi party for the upcoming Assembly polls was sealed. According to the alliance, Congress party will contest from 105 seats and SP will contest for 298 seats.
