Principal of government school was thrashed brutally by a man who claimed that his wife suffered miscarriage after immense mental harassment by the headmaster over election work.

As per the reports, man’s wife, Seema Bhillo Rathod, works at Swami Vivekanand Vidya Mandir school in Sahyognagar area of Talwade in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Seema was working as a booth-level officer for elections. She, along with few others, was tasked with distributing voter slips to create awareness among the people of the area. She was pregnant and suffered a miscarriage on Friday.

Stricken by grief, the husband and sister of a the woman who suffered miscarriage, beat up the headmaster of the school on Saturday.

After the incident, the duo from Chikhali have been arrested by the Pimpri-Chinchwad police on Saturday. A case under Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) and 34 (common intention) of Indian Penal Code was registered at Chikhali police station, under Pimpri-Chinchwad police, against the two.

The government school principal who was beaten up has been identified as Eknath Sopanrao Ambawle, a resident of Krushnanagar in Chinchwad. The two arrested people have been identified as Anil Jadhav and Risha Mallesh Chavan, both residents of Valhekarwadi in Chinchwad.
