16-year-old brutally killed

A 16-year-old boy found dead in a vicious state with his body mutilated on October 12 in Makrana district of Rajasthan. Deceased Parwez alias Abdullah is a resident of Kishanganj in Bihar and was working as a labour in a tire-repairing shop in Makrana, Rajasthan. His body was found mutilated, without head and a leg chopped off near Makrana Borabar Chaundiya Railway crossing and was handed over to the Makrana Railway Police.

The body was sent for post-mortem and post autopsy, it was buried in a haste instead of handing it over to the family. The shop owner, Sunil had called the family of Parwez to inform about the mishap and asked the deceased’s elder brother Rahid to come to Makrana. However, the police seem quite reluctant as the family is yet to receive the deceased’s body as well as the important information including –

  • Post-mortem report
  • Case Number
  • Nature of case/death
  • Death Certificate

Sunil had called Parwez’s family and informed them about the incident. He had told them that Parwez indulged in an argument with the people working in the adjacent liquor shop. He also claims that he paid him all the money ten days back and had relieved him from the duty. But the elder brother Rahid says that he stopped going to the shop only for the last three days and didn’t receive any money. So the statements are contradictory, leading to enough space for suspicion.

“Perwez had been working for Sunil for the last seven years and was not taking the salary for his work. He used to say that his salary is safe with his boss and he is saving it to make a house once enough money is saved,” said Masoom Raza, a leader of the victim’s village in Bihar.

“The non-cooperative attitude of the police as well as the shop owner for whom Parwez was working leaves a room of doubt for us. We have been asking Sunil to send the dead body in an ambulance to Parwez’s native town for the funeral ceremony as the rights of last rites cannot be taken away from the family, but there is no response from them,” said Masoom Raza, who is also dealing with the case.

However, the father of deceased Rajeeb-ur-Rahman believes that this is not a case of an accident but a planned murder brutally executed.
