In the latest development in the Ranchi family death incident, police has recovered two suicide notes from the house. According to the suicide notes that are of 15 pages and two pages respectively it is believed that the two brothers killed other five members of the family and then hanged themselves to death. It was also found that the family was laden with debt and was suspected to be the cause of deaths.

Monday morning witnessed a shocking incident where seven members of a family found dead in the same house in Ranchi’s Arsande. All the seven members were found dead in a suspicious way in their house. Family head Dipak Jha was living in a rented house in Ranchi along with other six members of his family.
The bodies of two sons Deepak Jha (40) and Rupesh Jha (39) were found hanging from the ceiling in two different rooms of the four-room apartment. The other five bodies of the family were laid down on mattresses draped in a blanket. The sons had used stools to hang themselves which was also found turned down around.

Although the Deputy inspector general of Ranchi Amol V Homkar has refused to share the details of the suicide notes to media, he said, “The initial observations suggest that the brothers had hanged themselves after killing other five family members moreover, other angles are also being investigated”.
The bodies have been recovered and sent for postmortem and the exact cause of death would be declared only after the autopsy report is out, said SP Anish Gupta.
