Jaipur, March 12 (IANS) Buena Vista Resort which once proved lucky for Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot last November when he hosted 40 Congress MLAs to help the Congress-NCP-Shiv Sena to form the Maharashtra government, might not prove lucky this time.

Political leaders believe the Madhya Pradesh crisis is far too deep and strong and shall leave the Congress red-faced in the long run as Maharashtra and Rajasthan shall be the next two states to see Operation Lotus blooming. BJP leaders believe anything is possible in politics.

The resort which hosted Splitsvilla shoot earlier and is now hosting Madhya Pradesh MLAs shall soon see Congress splitting in Maharashtra and then in Rajasthan, confirmed BJP sources.

A total of 41 MLAs are camping in this resort to escape horse trading while 38 MLAs are camping in plush Tree Resort. Three MLAs arrived midnight in Jaipur.

Now political sources in Rajasthan claim the resort shall go with its branding as in ‘Splitsvilla’ and will see the splitting happening in Maharashtra government soon which was formed with the tie up between Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena.

“Operation Lotus shall not limit itself to MP, but shall soon be making its impact felt in Maharashtra. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has met senior BJP leaders in this regard. The fight there was on Chhota Bhai and Bada Bhai. When Uddhav is already CM, we won’t have any issues of forming the government there and will be ok to see Thackeray working in his present capacity as the chief minister which he is unable to do presently as his present alliance partners have different ideologies,” a senior BJP worker told IANS.

“Then shall come Rajasthan’s turn. Around 30 MLAs are already in touch with us and MP story will be repeated in this state too with deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot being ignored by the government.”

Pilot in Rajasthan, like Scindia in MP, has been speaking against the government. When over 100 kids died in Kota, Pilot questioned the state government’s working. Similarly, in the recent cases of Dalit atrocities been reported in state, he sent a report to Congress high command hard-hitting the government’s failure.

Soon after the formation of the Congress government in December last year, the rift between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Pilot widened even more with Pilot being denied the CM chair after the assembly elections in December 2018.

Meanwhile Pilot on Wednesday termed Scindia’s departure unfortunate. In his tweet, he said, “Unfortunate to see @JM_Scindia parting ways with @INCIndia. I wish things could have been resolved collaboratively within the party.”

Similarly Gehlot termed Scindia as opportunist and said: “Opportunist like Scindia should have left Congress much earlier.”

He further said: “Entire nation is watching, how shamelessly #HorseTrading is being done. What has happened in #MadhyaPradesh, it is murder of democracy.”

BJP too attacked Gehlot on his horse trading comment and said that the Chief Minister who has twice snatched six BSP MLAs in both his tenures via horse trading has no right to give such comment.

“Six months back, six BSP MLAs joined in the Congress under Gehlot’s watch. In his earlier tenure too, he did the same. When he had no shame repeating it twice, then he has no right to give such comment,” said Satish Poonia, State president, BJP.

When IANS questioned him if Rajasthan can repeat MP, he said: “Yeh siyasat hai, yahan sab ho sakata hai.”
