The previous report indicates that Samsung has instructed its employees via an internal memo to cease using generative AI tools such as Bard and ChatGPT, citing security concerns. Earlier reports also indicated that Samsung has partnered with the Naver Corporation to develop AI processors and tools. A report published by a Korean publisher revealed that under the AI partnership, Samsung will provide Naver with semiconductor-related data in order to develop generative AI, which Samsung will then enhance.
It is rumoured that through this partnership, Samsung will acquire an artificial intelligence (AI) tool that will enhance the company’s productivity and prevent the possible disclosure of confidential business secrets that could result from the use of platforms created by other companies. Once developed, the AI tool will be made available in Korean and utilised by Samsung’s Device Solution (DS) division. Samsung and Naver are anticipated to release the aforementioned AI tool in October. Samsung and Naver have not yet announced the creation of the AI utility.
