Uttar Pradesh police have applied section 144 at the venue of Kisan Panchayat in Saharanpur. This decision came ahead of Congress’s national general secretary and state-in-charge, Priyanka Gandhi’s visit to Kisan Panchayat.

During her visit, Priyanka Gandhi will address the Mahapanchayat in Chilkana in protest against the Farm bills and in support of the Kisan Agitation after visiting Mata Shakambari Devi. In the office meeting, Congress officials have outlined Priyanka Gandhi’s program.
Priyanka Gandhi will visit the temple of Maa Shakambri Devi before attending the event in support of farmers. Shakambri Devi is one of the 51 Shaktipeeth located in the Shivalik foothills. Devotees from all over the country come here to visit this religious place.
Priyanka Gandhi Visit was reshuffled
Priyanka Gandhi’s visit to Saharanpur is also seen as the beginning of the Congress campaign for the upcoming three state elections. Priyanka Gandhi, who was scheduled to visit Saharanpur on February 8, was reshuffled to February 10.
