Shab-e-Barat 2020 is around the corner, Muslims all over the world are doing their best to celebrate it. Shab e Barat is also called mid-Shabaan because it occurs between 14 and 15 of the eighth month of the Shabaan (Islamic calendar).

Shab-e-Barat is widely celebrated in Islamic countries corresponding to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Iran. It is worth noting that these Islamic countries have now announced holidays.

When is Shab-e-Barat 2020?

Since the Islamic calendar is determined by the moon, the date of Shab-e-Barat changes every year. According to the Islamic calendar, Shab-e-Barat will start on the evening of April 9 (Thursday) and end on the night of April 10 (Friday).

Meaning:

The Shab phrase in Urdu is evening and Barat, which is an Arabic phrase whose English meaning is innocence or salvation. The exact meaning of Shab-e-Barat is the evening wherein God forgives his worshippers on this evening or evening of absolution, the evening of task or we are able to say that the evening of salvation.

On this auspicious evening, Muslim individuals provide prayers and fat on the same day and the following days. On this auspicious evening, many Nafal Nazam will provide.

People may recite the Holy Quran and do Zikar (reminds Allah). Hazrat Muaaz bin Jabal (R.A) narrates that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “On this blessed night, the Almighty Allah has forgiven all individuals except Mush Outside of Mushrik, there is another person who has a prejudice against others in his coronary heart disease. ”

How does Shab-e-Barat celebrate?

In the mid-Shabaan, people often stay up all night, praying to Allah to forgive any sins they have committed, and think this will be the night of fate in their coming year.

In many parts of the world, there may also be fireworks, and sometimes sweets like halwa is shared between neighbours and local children. On Shab-e-Barat, Muslims go to the graves of their families and hoping that Allah blesses their souls.
