A woman from Sonitpur district, Assam allegedly killed self by jumping into a well on receiving fake information that her name is not included in the final list of National Register of Citizens, India.com reported.
Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was imposed in several parts of the state ahead of the release of the final draft of the National Register of Citizens.
