BHOPAL: In an incident, a stray dog in Chhola area helped a 29-year old woman from getting molested by a man. The accused before leaving stabbed and injured the dog.
Reportedly, the woman used to feed the dog on a daily basis. On Sunday afternoon, the dog was lying in a corner of the room while the woman was resting. Around 3 pm, the dog Sheru heard some voices and saw the woman getting molested by a man. On seeing that Sheru jumped on the man and scared him but got stabbed by the molester in return. The woman escaped from the molester. The accused ran from the spot and police has registered the case and is investigating the matter.
SHO Chhola Radheyshyam Raigar said the woman and her husband reside in a residential Colony in Chhola area. Accused Sunil, resides in the neighbourhood. He is jobless and has been a nuisance in the locality, she alleged. A stray dog lives in the street where her house is located and is fed regularly,” said the SHO.
The accused molester Sunil knocked on the door and when the woman opened the door he was in a drunken state, forced her in the room and grabbed her. When she resisted him to leave, he started to abuse the woman.
The woman has reported the matter, the police have filed the complaint and after that they got the medical examination of the dog done.
