The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued an ultimatum to the Delhi police regarding its probe into Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar’s death case. It said, “If you have anything new then come within two weeks and if you can’t then we will look into it.”
The police department told the HC that there is no delay in the investigation because of them. They added that the technical investigation was not entirely in their hands because AIIMS and some foreign agencies were also involved.
BJP leader, Subramanian Swamy, who had filed a plea requesting for a CBI inquiry in the case, said if investigating agencies conclude that the death was due to poison then it doesn’t matter what type of poison it was.
The leader further submitted that forensic investigation by USA FBI and other agencies are simply delaying the probe.
