TRS continues to thrive in the Telangana Municipal Elections. However, in the municipality of Bhainsa, with its 26 wards, the situation is completely different.
Of the 26 wards, AIMIM has won 15 and the BJP has won 9 wards.
Independent candidates won the remaining 2 wards. The TRS which is making a splash in the remaining constituencies, could not win a single ward.
The party led by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has won Bhainsa Municipality with a huge majority in the Telangana Municipal elections. Before the elections, Bhainsa was in the news headlines for the communal clashes, where the polls held in a tense situation. AIMIM and BJP carried out a vigorous campaign in the Municipality.
Here it’s interesting to see that the ruling TRS and opposition Congress has not even won in a single ward.
With the results, AIMIM has again retained Bhainsa Municipality. However, this time BJP has emerged from nowhere by winning nine wards.
The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) had swept the municipal elections by capturing 105 out of the 120 municipalities and 6 out of 9 municipal corporations in the Telangana Municipal Elections. Elections to these urban local bodies were conducted on January 22. However, Bhaisa seemed to be a rare case where TRS failed to win even a single seat.
