A 25-year-old Agra police constable Sonu Chaudhary was allegedly crushed to death by the goons of a mining mafia in Kheragarh area. As per reports, the soldier was killed by mounting a tractor.
At five o’clock on Sunday morning, illegal mining was reported at Saina police station and the tractor-trolley was coming from Rajasthan towards Agra.
The report says, Sub Inspectors Amit Kumar, constables Sonu Kumar Choudhary, Sudhir, Suraj, Sunil and Shishupal were deployed at Saina police station, went out to catch the tractor.
The police team waited on Kheragarh-Saina road for a long time, but till then the tractor-trolley carrying the sand did not come. After this, the police team decided to leave for the police station but just then, near the big Nagla of village Son of Kheragarh area, they saw five to six tractor-trolleys coming.
After getting out of the car, constable Sonu tried to stop by showing the stick in front of the tractor. Meanwhile, the driver then mounted the tractor on Sonu. After firing, the henchmen left the tractor-trolley and fled.
SP City Botre Rohan Pramod reached the spot with the force of the district. He said that the mining mafia has killed the constable by mounting a tractor-trolley.
Seriously injured constable Sonu Chaudhary was sent by fellow policemen to Agra’s Pushpanjali Hospital for treatment where he died during treatment. The top officials reached the hospital and the scene as soon as the incident was received.
Now mining mafia operatives are being searched in the surrounding area.
