UP: Woman who left behind suicide note accusing husband of harassment, traced alive in Bengaluru

Remember the Hollywood movie Gone Girl where Gillian Flynn stages her suicide? A similar plot was staged by a Delhi woman but short of her luck, she got traced to soon.

Going by the reports, a 29-year-old woman who went missing from Delhi on July 5 and was suspected to have committed suicide, was found alive in Bengaluru by the Ghaziabad Police. Police suspect she faked her suicide to frame her husband who allegedly demanded dowry from her.

Komal, a training manager in an insurance company and the daughter of Bharatiya Kisan Union’s national secretary, went missing and her car, parked near Hindon bridge in Ghaziabad’s Uttar Pradesh, was found on July 6. She left a suicide note describing her marriage ordeal and the alleged cruelty.

The note and the car, parked right next to the Hindon canal, suggested she had committed suicide.

Divers were called to look for a body however no body was recovered there. Police officials got further clues about her last location and they finally found her at Bengaluru Railway Station and brought her to Ghaziabad.

No charges have been framed against her yet but questioning will take place. The woman’s family, meanwhile, has filed a case against her in-laws under IPC sections 364 (kidnapping) and 498 A (cruelty by husband) at Indirapuram police station.
