At the Under-19 World Cup 2024, Australia and India both record significant victories.

On Thursday, India defeated Ireland 15–0 in the fifteenth match of the Under-19 World Cup 2024.

Upon commencing the innings, India amassed an impressive 301/7. Both of their opening-day wickets were lost within 20 overs. Nevertheless, captain Uday Saharan and Musheer Khan united forces in a magnificent 156-run stand. Musheer scored 118 runs off 106 deliveries, with Uday contributing a well-judged 75 off 84 balls.

Ireland’s preferred bowlers were John McNally with two and Oliver Riley with three wickets. The outcomes of the run pursuit were disastrous for Ireland.

As a result of losing wickets early on and at regular intervals thereafter, the Irish team was dismissed for a meager 100 in 29.4 overs. Indian bowlers Naman Tiwari (4/53) and Saumy Pandey (3/21) dismissed the opposition’s batsmen with their deliveries.

In the sixteenth encounter of the Under-19 World Cup 2024, Australia dominated Zimbabwe in the second match of the day. Harry Dixon and Sam Konstas, batting initially for Australia, established a strong foundation with a 91-run partnership. In contrast to Dixon’s 89 runs, Konstas amassed 45.

Hugh Weibgen (68) and Tom Campbell (47*), who led Australia to 296/7, also maintained the forward momentum. Ryan Simbi, Brendon Sunguro, and Matthew Schonken all took two wickets to represent Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe’s performance in the run-chase was abysmal, as they were reduced to 71 runs. With the exception of Brendon (12) and Ronak Patel (36) none of their batsmen could reach double figures. Harkirat Bajwa led Australia in wickets taken with four, with Mahli Beardman and Aidan O’Connor each contributing two scalps.
