One of the pre-tournament favorites Serbia had a disappointing World Cup, will battle for a 5th place in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 when they face the Czech Republic in their last classification match at LeSports Center.
The Czech Republic won its match against Poland by 84 – 94. With this win now CZE is on the road to determine the 5th or 6th place of the tournament. CZE has lost their chance to win the World Cup this year but finishing with a bang will give them some motivation for their future endeavors.
Serbian team was one of the most dominant teams in the competition. Having won their first two group games very easily they even won against Italy which was a tough team by 92-77. They thrashed Puerto Rico in the first encounter of the Second group stage by 90-47. They lost to Spain though in their first real test by 69-81 and then lost the crucial quarterfinal game against Argentina by 87-97.They beat USA by 94-89.
