Delhi: DTC Bus rammed into sideways vehicles leaving 3 injured in Uttam Nagar

Uttam Nagar: DTC Cluster Bus rammed into sideways vehicles leaving 3 injured

New Delhi: A DTC cluster bus number 817 which was en route to Uttam Nagar depot on Friday in Dwarka’s Uttam Nagar area, met with an accident under Bindapur Police station limits. The bus rammed into at least six vehicles parked on the side of the road near Metro Pillar No. 676 at Arya Samaj Road.

Speaking with Newsd, the Investigating Officer (IO) Ramnivas said, “Bus driver is under custody and three persons have sustained minor injuries. We are going to investigate the cause of accident and will update you as we get.”

The bus rammed into the vehicles parked on the side of the road and damaged 04 cars 1 e-Rickshaw and one Scooty parked at the left side of the road near Metro Pillar No. 676 at Arya Samaj Road.

Locals said that one person is dead but the IO denied of such information and said that he has personally checked with the (4 to 5) hospitals in the area and such claims can’t be proved at the time.

Police official said, “Driver pushed the accelerator instead of brakes and rammed into the vehicles parked along the roadside.”

Further investigation is going on and more details are awaited and will be updated as received.
