Badaun: Sanghamitra Maurya, Bharatiya Janata Party’ Badaun candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, filled her nominations on Wednesday. Though, Sanghamitra is married to Dr Naval Kishor Sakya, in her affidavit she has not shared information regarding the same. It is being said that the relationship between the two is undergoing tough times.

Before filing nomination from the Lok Sabha seat, Sanghamitra Maurya addressed the crowd from across the district. During this period Sanghamitra’s father & cabinet minister Swati Prasad Maurya along with BJP’s National Vice President Dushyant Gautam were also present.

According to the details shared by Maurya in the affadavit, she possesses a revolver, a rifle and a two-barron gun. Apart from this, there is a mention of insurance policies with worth of more than Rs one crore. Her total assets comes out to be around Rs 2 crore 34 lakh.

Naval Kishore last year broke ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the Samajwadi Party.In the 3-way contest set to take place in Badaun, Congress has chosen Iqbal Shervani, while the Mahagathbandhan candidate Dharmendra Yadav (SP) are set to fight the polls.

Elections in Badaun will take place in the third phase of the elections along with 9 other constituencies in the state, namely, Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun, Aonla, Bareilly, Pilibhit.
