In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh was allegedly gang-raped by four men in front of her husband and their three-month-old baby. The family was returning home on a motorbike in Muzaffarnagar after seeing a pediatrician when they were stopped by four men carrying weapons in a car.
The men snatched the baby from the mother, beat up the man and dragged the woman to a sugarcane field, said police. Then they took turns to allegedly rape her after tying up her husband. They also threatened to kill the child. After they were done, they cautioned the couple against raising an alarm and escaped, said police.
“Four men dragged me to a sugarcane farm and raped me at gun-point. They threatened to kill my child, also tied and beat up my husband,” the woman told ANI. Some farmers from a nearby village rushed to rescue them after the family screamed for help.
The police were told and the officials took the family to the hospital for treatment and medical examination. “We are waiting for her medical report. A case has been registered against the four and investigation is underway,” said Ajay Sahdev, SP Rural, Muzaffarnagar.
