New Delhi, March 2 (IANS) The Congress on Monday alleged that the government had bulldozed the Opposition and did not allow it to raise the Delhi riots issue in Parliament.

“The government doesn’t want the conspiracy angle in Delhi riots to come out,” said Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the party leader in the Lok Sabha.

“We had conveyed to the business advisory committee that we would raise Delhi riots, but we were not allowed as the government introduced the ‘Vivad se Vishwas Bill’ in the House. We wanted to speak on this bill too, but the government, in a hurry, didn’t want the truth behind Delhi riots to come out,” said Chowdhury.

“We will continue to raise the issue and oppose the government,” said the Congress leader.

The Congress alleged that its MP from Kerala Ramya Haridas was heckled and that she cried.
