Weather Forecast Updates: In its most recent bulletin, the weather service predicted light or moderate to isolated torrential precipitation over Gangetic West Bengal on September 4 and 5, Odisha from September 4 to 7, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands from September 4 to 8.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), on Monday, issued an Orange alert in Telangana predicting mild to moderate rains in most places during the next three days.

“At this time, the upper air circulation indicates cyclonic circulation over West Central Bay and adjacent Andhra Pradesh regions. This is likely to intensify into low-pressure areas within the next 24 hours, according to Dr. K Nagaratna, Director of the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, as quoted by ANI.

From the North-East Bay of Bengal to Andhra Pradesh, there is a depression. Under its influence, Telangana will likely experience mild to moderate rainfall in the majority of locations over the next three days, and in many locations thereafter,” Nagaratna added.

The IMD issued an orange alert on Monday in two districts of the southern state of Kerala, where two persons were killed in the Alappuzha district over the past few days due to heavy rainfall.

The IMD issued an orange alert for Monday and Tuesday for the districts of Pathanamthitta and Idukki.

In its most recent bulletin, the weather service predicted light or moderate to isolated torrential precipitation over Gangetic West Bengal on September 4 and 5, Odisha from September 4 to 7, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands from September 4 to 8.

On the 4th and 5th of September and on the 5th and 6th of September, there is a chance of isolated very heavy rainfall over Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

“Light or moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall or thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Marathwada during 04th–07th September, over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra during 06th-08th September, and over Gujarat Region on 06th & 07th September,” the IMD stated.

It was stated that light or moderate isolated to scattered rainfall or thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall activity are probable over East Uttar Pradesh on the 6th and 7th, and over Uttarakhand and West Uttarakhand on the 8th.
