Every Year on 22nd December along with Winter Solstice, the Global Orgasm day is observed around the world. But you must be wondering what’s the connection between solstice and orgasm to reach global peace and what even is this day.

To explain better, first, we have to know about the solstice. So, Solstice is an event that occurs when the Sun appears to reach its most northerly or southerly excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere. Two solstices occur annually, around June 21 and December 21. In simple words, these two dates signify the longest day and the shortest day in the northern hemisphere of the globe respectively.

Global Orgasm Day and Winter solstice

So as the history goes of Global orgasm, it was an action originally scheduled for 22 December 2006. It was organized by the author and activist triplets of Donna Sheehan, Paul Reffell & Sols Saloojee to coincide with the end of the solstice.

Celebrating orgasms which is a super healthy practice is what this day is all about and is the main motive of this day. It is said that during these 24 hours there exists widespread positive energy on earth that’s why an orgasm during these 24 hours is considered a great thing to do. That’s why this day is attached to Global Peace day or simply Global orgasm for peace day.

The activity group which organizes this day is registered with the Global Consciousness Project (GCP), a project-based at Princeton University, which records the output of numerous, random-number generators placed throughout the globe

Science behind orgasms

Orgasm is a short-lived psychophysical experience that lasts a few seconds. Orgasms are definitely good for you. And if the body is grateful: an orgasm releases beneficial substances into the body, such as oxytocin and endorphins, as well as a sense of well-being and relaxation. Super recommend it!
