The World’s Tallest Lord Shiva Statue: Maha Shivaratri is a significant Hindu festival observed in New Delhi, during which devotees venerate and beseech Lord Shiva to obtain his blessings. The Statue of Belief, located in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, is the most towering representation of Lord Shiva on a global scale. Furthermore, it is purportedly one of the ten tallest statues globally. The statute is alternatively referred to as “Vishwas Swaroopam,” and standing before it is said to be an awe-inspiring experience.
Who is the statue’s creator?
The chairman of the Miraj Group, Madan Paliwal, conceived of the statue’s design. Skeleton Consultants provided the structural design, and the renowned studio Maturam Art created it. The contract for the statue’s construction was awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji E&C. An estimated 750 individuals were engaged in the fabrication of the statue. Since the laying of its foundation stone in 2012 until its completion in October 2022.
What is the stature of Belief in terms of height?
In addition to its 369-foot height, the Statue of Belief encompasses an area of 32 acres. Its base features a 34-meter-tall pedestal, and the zinc coating on its surface has extended the statue’s lifespan by 250 years. The statue is resistant to winds as fast as 250 kilometers per hour. Additionally, it is resistant to earthquakes of Zone IV intensity.
There is an exhibition hall and public viewing galleries within the statue. A statue of Nandi, the bovine depicting Lord Shiva, is also present. In addition to the statue, a VIP lounge, and a meditation room are also present. Pavements, parking, three herb gardens, a pond, a fountain, a food court, an amphitheater, a children’s amusement park, and handicraft stores comprise the area surrounding the Statue of Belief.
