Police have booked a 57-year-old man for allegedly posting an obscene post on actress turned politician Urmila Matondkar on social media.
Vishrambaug police registered a complaint against a resident of Pune in Maharashtra named Dhananjay Kudtarkar after an MNS officer-bearer flagged the post on social media.
The police officer of Vishrambaug police station said that the suspect who was using his social media account put a derogatory post against the actress and made sexually colored remarks.
A case has been registered against the man under the section 354 (A) 1 (4) for making sexually colored remarks; shall be guilty of the offense of sexual harassment and also under the section of IT act.
Urmila has acted in various Bollywood movies and had made her political debut as a Congress nominee from Mumbai North constituency in the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections but lost to BJP’s Gopal Shetty.
No arrest in the case has been made so far as the probe is still underway.
