Aligarh: Couple murdered near Madrak railway station in suspected honour killing; probe on

A suspected case of honour killing has come to light where a couple was found murdered on Tuesday morning near Madrak railways station in Aligarh.

The deceased, identified as Shehnaz and Jane Alam, were residents of Firozabad and used to live together pretending to be a married couple near Aligarh’s Madrak railway station.

As per the reports so far, citizens nearby informed the police officials as soon as they spotted the duo lying in the pool of blood near railway station on Tuesday morning. Upon receiving the information, police ruhed to the spot and tried to cool down the chaos among the crowd.

Officials have arrested one suspect in the matter and has order for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the dead bodies of the couple have been sent for the post-mortem.
