A police official reported that a 13-year-old girl in the Vaishali district of Bihar murdered her younger sister with the assistance of her lover.
The incident occurred in the Jandahaha block, and two suspects were apprehended on Tuesday.
After committing the crime, the two kept the nine-year-corpse old’s in a box at the victim’s residence.
As the body began to rot and emit a foul odour, they chopped it up, burned it with acid, and flung it in the house’s backyard.
Vaishali SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar stated that the incident only came to light after some villagers discovered the remains and alerted the authorities.
“We then dispatched a canine unit and an FSL team to the crime site. The investigation into the remains revealed that they belonged to a child. Accordingly, we initiated an investigation into missing children in the region and discovered that a nine-year-old girl had vanished on May 16 and her remains had been recovered on May 19. The evidence was then sent to the laboratory, and an autopsy was also performed. Once we had sufficient evidence, we apprehended the two suspects on Tuesday evening,” said Kumar.
“When we interrogated the victim’s older sister, she broke down and divulged the entire chain of events. A few days ago, the accused and her partner were intimate, and the accused’s sister witnessed them in a compromising position. She then chose to murder her sibling.”
The father of the daughters is a day labourer who was not present during the incident.
