In a shocking development, a local journalist identified as Pradeep Mandal was allegedly shot at by a few unidentified bike-borne assailants on Sunday night in Bihar’s Madhubani area.
Going by the reports, the victim who works as reporter with a Hindi newspaper Dainik Jagran, was travelling to Hati village from Pandaul when the incident took place. Meanwhile, two miscreants on the bike came closer to Rameshwar Jha’s house in Sarispapahi village where Pradeep was standing. The duo shot Pradeep and ran away from the spot.

The injured Pradeep, geared some strength and approached his neighbor Jivanath Jha’s shop to ask for help, Seeing him bleeding, people in neighbourhood rushed Pradeep to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital.
As per the details so far, Pradeep has been operated by the doctors however, his health remains critical as of now.
Taking cognizance of the situation, police has order a probe in the matter. Efforts are on to nab the culprits.
