Katihar: Nitish Kumar’s minister, Bijendra Yadav, refused to wear a skull cap at a conference of Muslims the public platform. Bijendra Yadav was being welcomed on the platform when he came to attend the Political and Talimi Bedari conference here.

Though minister Bijendra Yadav declined to wear the cap, the rest of the leaders present there agreed to wear the cap with grace.

Refusing to wear a cap from the public forum in the programme of the Muslims has stirred a  new controversy in Bihar’s politics. The opposition can sharpen the attack on Nitish Kumar.

Addressing a programme in Delhi in September 2019, taking a dig at then BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has said:

“To run the country, you have to take everyone along… at times you will have to wear a topi(cap), at times a tilak (vermillion mark on the forehead).”

Bijendra Prasad Yadav is a senior leader of JDU, he is currently the energy minister in Nitish’s cabinet. Bijendra started his political journey during JP movement.
