BJP fields Babaulal Gaur’s daughter-in-law, Krishna Gaur from Govindpura

Ahead of Madhya Pradesh polls, BJP projected Krishna Gaur from much anticipated Govindpura constituency. Krishna Gaur is the daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Babulal Gaur.  Earlier, Bhopal Mayor, Alok Sharma was the front-runner for Govindpura seat, however, after analysing whole equations, BJP fielded former Bhopal Mayor Krishna Gaur, sources claimed.

88-year-old Gaur, sitting MLA from Govindpura has been demanding to represent his current seat, however, BJP straightly denied ticket to the veteran leader.  The Govindpura is considered as one of the strongest seats of BJP in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, State Congress Chief Kamal Nath invited Babulal Gaur to join Congress, but Gaur did not make any specific reply on whole political development.

The Govindpura seat has been represented by Babaulal Gaur 10 times in the past. Govindpura is an industrial area and includes Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), the backbone of the state’s economy.
