Delhi: Debt-ridden IPL gambler suffocates former IAF pilot’s wife to death, shocking plot revealed

In an appalling crime that happened last week in the capital city, the death of former IAF officer’s wife has witnessed a recent development after a probe by the police. It has revealed some shocking details of the crime.

Investigation team revealed that the victim was killed by a debt-ridden man from Jaipur with whom she used to talk on the social media website.

The accused identified as Dinesh Dixit (56), he was caught by the police after tracking his electronic trail.

For those unaware, the victim Meenu Jain (52) was found dead on Thursday at Dwarka. As per the report by a national daily, the accused was a real estate businessman and had met the victim six months ago. He often used to drive from Jaipur to meet her at her home. Also, the accused has created several accounts on the social media app to befriend the woman by posing as a rich man.

Reportedly, the deputy commissioner told that the accused was debt-ridden after he lost heft amounts in IPL betting and he was in an immense pressure to return the amount, he planned to murder and rob the woman.

Two weeks ago, Dixit came to know that the woman had kept jewelry and cash in her house and that is when he decided to rob her. Investigation revealed that he procured a fake number plate for his car. He changed it before leaving for Delhi.

The duo went out of the society at around 8:45 pm, as per the CCTV footage at around 9:15 pm they returned after buying some snacks from the local market. Later in the night, Dixit got the woman intoxicated and then tried to take the cash and jewelry kept in the house.

At around 2:30 am, the accused suffocated the woman and killed her. He stayed there in the house till 5:21 am- as per the CCTV footage. The report further says that he had robbed valuable assets of Rs 50 Lakh including cash and Jewellery and also two mobile phones.

The victim’s family got to know about the murder in the morning following which the police was informed.
