The Congress worker said that Rahul Gandhi should take back his resignation else he will hang himself.

On Tuesday, a Congress worker allegedly tried to kill himself outside party office in Delhi in a bid to stop Rahul Gandhi from resigning his post of party chief. The unidentified man attempted to hang himself outside the Congress office.

The Congress worker said that Rahul Gandhi should take back his resignation else he will hang himself. The attempt of the Congress worker however failed and was rescued by cops and locals.

The incident came as several Congress leaders sat on an indefinite strike, urging Rahul Gandhi to take back his resignation. Hundreds of Congress workers, most of who had resigned from various party posts on Friday, gathered at the party headquarters and sat on a strike.

AICC Secretaries Mahender Joshi, Naseeb Singh and other leaders including Delhi Working President Rajesh Lilothia, Shobha Oza, Jagdish Tytler along with party activists sat on strike demanding Rahul Gandhi to continue as party chief.

Recently, the Bihar Youth Congress leaders wrote a letter in blood to Rahul Gandhi urging him to reconsider his resignation.
