Dhanbad-Delhi AC Special Train:The AC special train that normally ran between Dhanbad and Jammu will now run to Delhi until November. Heavy rains damaged a rail bridge in Jammu, forcing the cancellation of the Dhanbad-Jammu service until mid-October. Due to high demand from passengers, Indian Railways has decided to extend the train’s route from Dhanbad to Delhi instead.
Dhanbad-Delhi AC Special Train
The train will have third AC economy coaches and will operate twice a week from October 11. It will leave Dhanbad at 10:10 am and reach Delhi at 9:15 am the next day. The return train, called the Delhi-Dhanbad Special, will run on Wednesdays and Sundays from October 12 to November 30.

It will depart Delhi at 11:45 am and arrive in Dhanbad at 1 pm the following day. The stopes and timetable between Dhanbad and Delhi will stay the same. Ticket bookings for this train are expected to start on Thursday.
The Dhanbad-Delhi train will travel through stations like Gomoh, Parasnath, Hazaribagh Road, Koderma, Gaya, Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri on Sone, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, DDU, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Govindpuri, and Tundla.
Extra coaches added for festival rush
To handle the increased passenger rush during the festive season, Railways is adding extra sleeper coaches to several trains. The Howrah-Raxaul-Howrah Mithila Express will run with 22 coaches instead of 21 from Howrah between September 25 and October 31, and from Raxaul from September 26 to October 1.
Sealdah-Ballia-Sealdah Express
The Sealdah-Ballia-Sealdah Express will run with 20 coaches instead of 19 from Sealdah from September 25 to October 31, and from Ballia from September 26 to November 1. Similarly, the Sealdah-Jaynagar-Gangasagar Express will operate with 20 coaches instead of 19 from Sealdah from September 25 to October 31, and from Jaynagar from September 26 to November 1.

The Howrah-Yognagari Rishikesh-Howrah Doon Express will run with 22 coaches instead of 21. It will depart Howrah from September 25 to October 31, and from Yognagari Rishikesh from September 27 to November 2.
