Former Chief Minister and Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh aimed at PM Narendra Modi, BJP’s Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan during a press conference on Tuesday. He targeted the government for note ban and corruptions. He alleged that an epic could be written on the scams under the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh. Calling out the scams names:

  • Vyapam Scam
  • Illegal Sand Mining Scam
  • Nutritious Food Scam
  • MPPSC Scam
  • e-Tender Scam

he said, so many scams took place during the BJP government. He also claimed that no one could level any corruption charges on him during his tenure of ten-years.

“Former Chief Minister Sunderlal Patwa and Vikram Verma had levelled allegations and had to apologise later. A defamation case against Uma Bharti is still in court and she could not prove a single charge. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan calls me Naxal and time as a traitor but such allegations show the mental state of Chauhan. The notice to file a defamation case against CM Chauhan has been prepared,” said Digvijay Singh during the press conference.

He also attacked the present government over the continuous rise in petroleum prices. He said that the petrol and diesel prices could be reduced by Rs 20 if VAT is taken. That will be equal to the price of petrol and diesel that was during his government in 2003. Singh said, “the meetings of coordination committee have been organised in 37 districts. The committee would hold meetings at divisional level to pacify people who do not get tickets”.

Later Digvijay had meals with the party workers where he talked with them in very friendly terms. He asked them about their favourite candidates and received their applications for party tickets.
