Gujarat: On suspicion of affair, married man allegedly brands girlfriend's private parts with soldering iron

In a highly shocking incident, a 26-year-old woman from Gir Somnath district of Gujarat accused her boyfriend of branding her legs and private parts with soldering iron because he suspected that she was having an affair with another man.

The complainant, who is divorced, lives in Hebatpur. She filed a complaint at Sola High Court police station on Tuesday.

As per the reports, the complainant in her statement told that on April 25, accused Kamlesh Parmar went to complainant’s home and kept asking her whether she was having an affair with some other man and who that man was. He then punched her over the right eye and kept hitting her. He then verbally abused her, pulled off her pants and branded her leg and private parts with a soldering iron.

A Times of India report suggested that the complainant had met the accused Parmar three years ago after she divorced her husband. Parmar, who is from her native village, asked her to accompany him to Ahmedabad, as she was living alone after her divorce. The two of them started living together since then.

However, six months back Parmar brought his wife to his place and she learned about her husband’s relationship with the complainant. The couple together started harassing the complainant and asked her to leave the city in a week or she would be killed.
