According to the police, as soon as they received the information from the neighbours, a team reached the spot and broke open the house and found the four dead bodies. “As per initial investigation, Prakash Singh, working at a chemical factory, is suspected to have ended his life after killing the family,” said a senior police officer.
The early media reports claim that Singh was working in a chemical factory in Hyderabad while his wife used to run a private school.
Police have sent the bodies for post mortem. Meanwhile, an investigation in the matter is underway.
The Burari deaths refers to the deaths of eleven family members of the Chundawat family from Burari in 2018. Ten family members were found hanged, while the oldest family member, the grandmother, was strangled. The bodies were found on 1 July 2018; in the early morning after the death. The police have ruled the deaths as mass suicide, with an angle of shared psychosis being investigated.
