While a lot of professions are affected due to the severe lockdown, there is one such profession which cant even opt for work from home for obvious reasons.

Apart from doctors, the journalists are the most affected and are fighting through stress in covering the pandemic outbreak. They have to travel from one place to another in lieu of reports and in such a condition it is such a stressful activity to do.

So, in order to manage the stressful work in such a tensioning situation, here are ways through which the journalists can fight stress from covering coronavirus outbreak

  • Take enough sleep

If this occurred just once, you might be able to dismiss it as something that happened and has ended. So, avoid looking at the disturbing information repeatedly. Give yourself a break from it by doing something else.

  • Keep things which makes you happy closer

The things which make you happy, be it a picture of your dog or your loved ones or be it a happy vacation picture. After you have spent time covering whatever unpleasant thing it is you have covered, reset your mind to remember that this situation is normal. Soldiers and police officers do this.

  • Be aware of your alcohol and food consumption

Don’t wait for your boss to ask you if you need time off. Especially while we are working remotely, the boss may have no clue how you are doing. In such a situation, many times we refrain from taking offs even when we need it and that takes a toll over the health thereby adding to the stress. So, if you think that it’s high time you need an off, never hesitate and take some time off the hectic schedule.
