If you’re ever in a situation where you need to get rid of water from your Apple watch, there are a few different ways to go about it. In this article, we’ll outline the different methods and what each one entails.

How to do it

If you’re ever stuck with a flooded Apple Watch, there are a few quick and easy ways to get the water out.

First, press and hold the Digital Crown until the screen flashes and the Apple logo appears. This will activate the AssistiveTouch keyboard. Type “respring” and release both buttons.

Next, open the Watch app on your iPhone and go to General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will reset your watch and hopefully solve the problem.

Why it happens

If you ever find yourself with a wet Apple watch, there are a few things you can do to try and get the water out. First and foremost, make sure that the watch is fully charged and that there is no water accumulating inside the device. Next, if the water is coming out of the rear-facing speaker, try pouring a pot of boiling water onto the speaker and let it sit for a few minutes. Finally, if none of these solutions work and the water is just splashing everywhere, then it may be time to take your watch in for repairs.

How to prevent it

If you don’t want water getting into your Apple watch and ruining it, then you’ll need to learn how to eject it. This is a fairly easy process, but it does require a little bit of know-how.

Firstly, make sure that the watch is properly charged. Once it is, open up the Apple Watch’s case by pressing down on the sides and then pulling up. Next, locate the speaker on the top side of the watch. Face the speaker towards you and use your fingers to slowly push down on the speaker until it pops out. When it comes out, hold onto it so that you can remove the water droplet screen protector that’s also attached to it.

Now that you have the screen protector removed, place a paper towel over the hole in the screen where the speaker used to be and spray some water onto it from a spray bottle. Let the water droplet fall through the hole onto the paper towel below. Once all of the water has been removed, replace the screen protector and close up the watch case. Congratulations, you have successfully ejected water from your Apple watch!
