Things you don’t know about ‘Paatal Lok’ star:

• Jaideep Ahlawat was the first and only choice of the ‘Paatal Lok’ makers for the role of ‘Hathiram Chaudhary’ in the series.
• For his role as Hathiram Chaudhary in ‘Paatal Lok’, he adopted his father Dayanand Ahlawat’s walk. He got much help from his father’s personality in real life.
• In Raazi, he played the role of RAW agent. This role was much related to Jaideep’s life as he wanted to be in the Indian army. He applied for NDA(National Defence Academy) exams but unfortunately failed. Later, he applied for SSD exams and cleared the test but failed in SSB.
• If you don’t know, Jaideep has worked in Shahrukh Khan starrer film ‘Raees’. Even after bagging a role in SRK’s movie he was not content as he was kept as the second option for the role he played in the movie. He played a Mumbai Gangster in Raees.
• The actor worked with Manisha Koirala in the Netflix series ‘Lust Stories’ directed by Zoya Akhtar.
• In 2008, he came to Mumbai and struggled for two years before he bagged two films – Ajay Devgn starrer Aakrosh and Akshay Kumar starrer Khatta Meetha.
• Gangs of Wasseypur was a turning point in his career. He played the role of Shahid Khan, who was Manoj Bajpayee’s father in the movie. His brilliant performance was praised by fans and critics.
• Jaideep Ahlawat has been roped to play the antagonist in Ishaan and Ananya Panday starrer “Khaali Peeli”.
