Kannauj Lok Sabha Election 2019 Results:  Subrat Pathak at lead; Dimpal Yadav trails by 26826 votes

Election Commission of India is expected to declare the final results of Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency today. Kannauj is one of the constituencies in 80-seat Uttar Pradesh which has a stronghold of the Samajwadi Party.

It comprises of five Vidhan Sabha segments of which one is reserved for the SC category. The assembly constituencies that fall in Kannauj parliamentary constituency are – Chhibramau, Tirwa, Kannauj (SC), Bidhuna and Rasulabad (SC).

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Dimple Yadav of SP won in this seat by defeating the BJP candidate by a margin of 19,907 votes which was 1.79% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 43.89% in 2014 in the seat.
