With only two phase of polling to go for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the pollers believe that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to score more seats than its key rival, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA).

According to punters in Satta Bazar, the ruling alliance is likely to get 185-220 seats, while the UPA may get anywhere between 160 to 180 seats. Lastly, those who are neither in NDA nor UPA may together win – a whopping 225 to 250 seats, according to a News18 report.

According to bookies in Delhi, the saffron party may lose out seats in PM Narendra Modi & party president Amit Shah’s bastion – Gujarat. The BJP might win 22 sats, while the Congress party could the other four constituencies.

The betting in the favour of the NDA forming government is Rs 11, whereas for the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) it stands at Rs 33. Earlier, before the poll schedule was announced, punters had estimated about 250 seats for the BJP.

Just after the first three phases of elections, bookies had said that the odds favour the BJP and they are likely to pool 245 seats on its own, which is 27 short of a simple majority, as against 77 of the Congress party. The bookies had made these predictions on the basis of polling for 303 seats in the first three phases across the country, with polling for the remaining 240 constituencies will be held on April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19.
