Madhya Pradesh: Congress leader commits suicide, after being denied poll ticket

A Congress leader Prem Singh Kushwaha who was denied party ticket from Gwalior (rural) constituency for the November 28 Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, allegedly committed suicide on Friday, sources said. Prem Singh Kushwaha is also a member of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee.

He was rushed to the Jiva hospital in Gwalior in a serious condition and further he was treated. Prem Singh Kushwaha was under depression after he was refused a ticket to contest the elections, media reports stated.

According to sources, Prem Singh Kushwaha was not happy with tickets distribution system of the party and after Congress fielded former BSP leader Madan Kushwaha from Gwalior (rural), he took the step.

Gwalior rural constituency is dominated by Kushwaha community and Bharat Kushwaha of BJP is sitting legislator from the seat.
