The political bedlam in Tamil Nadu after the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalitha and the end to this ferment doesn’t appear any closer. The DMK working president M.K. Stalin is expected to meet President Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi on Thursday says reports.

“We have informed Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao about the Tamil Assembly ruckus and today, we are going to meet and explain the situation to President Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi,” Stalin said reported Deccan Chronicle.
On Wednesday, Stalin called a hunger strike along with his party workers against state CM Edapaddi K. Palanisamy’s confidence vote. Notably, Stalin had earlier announced that his party will launch the strike in wake of ruckus that took place in Tamil Nadu Assembly during the floor test on February 18.
“Hunger protest, which we are undertaking today, is not for us but against ‘benami’ rule established in Tamil Nadu,” said Stalin.

Adding up to the tension of the situation, the Madras High Court on Wednesday suspended DMK’s plea seeking to declare Palanisamy’s trust vote null and void and also sought video evidence of the proceedings in the Tamil Nadu Assembly.`
