The tweet account of Rahul Gandhi has been slamming Modi’s approach and his decisions. In the latest, the Congress Chief has tweeted, “Modi Bachao, Advertisement Chalao”. The dig comes after Dr Virendra Kumar, Union Minister of State for Women and Child development released data regarding expenditure breakdown of scheme, “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”.

The data reveal that as much as 56 per cent of the total funds allocated for the scheme were utilised for “media related activities.” Whereas 19 per cent of the funds were not release by the government, with the remaining 25 per cent going to states and districts.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme was launched on January 22, 2015 with aim to address the lowering Child Sex Ratio.

Earlier after the governments of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh waived off farmer loans within 2 days of swearing in, the Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to share the news with his followers and in less than 16 hours, the tweet garnered a mammoth 54 thousand likes, 13 thousand retweets and 9.2 thousand replies.
