In a highly shocking incident, a six-month pregnant woman narrowly escaped death after being off the moving train by her husband. The incident happened between Dahisar and Mira Road stations in Mumbai.

Sagar Dhodi (25) and his second wife Rani (20) were in the midst of a fight when he pushed her, but she managed to survive as the train was running slow.

According to the reports, Sagar, who was booked for attempted murder and criminal intimidation, had an affair with Rani while still married to his first wife with two children. When his wife got to know about his affair outside, she left the along with children.

Meanwhile, Sagar tied knots with his girlfriend Rani on November 1, while she was six months pregnant.

“Rani was six months pregnant when they married, but he did not want the child. Fed up with this, Rani left for her maternal home,” police officer was quoted as saying in the the reports.

Sagar then went to meet her on November 15 and asked her to accompany him. She agreed and the two boarded a Virar local from Borivli.

“Rani said they were standing near the door of a general compartment and fighting from the start of the journey,” said a police officer.

When the train crossed Dahisar, Sagar allegedly punched her in the chest and hit her before pushing her off. After the stationmaster informed the GRP officials, Rani was rushed to a nearby hospital and doctors deemed her foetus safe.

The police obtained his photograph from his family and is looking for him.
