Murgh Makhani: The popularity and adoration of poultry dishes transcends cultures and cuisines. From succulent roasted chicken in North America to aromatic tandoori chicken in India, there is an abundance of distinct and delectable options. Taste Atlas recently published a list of the 50 highest-rated chicken dishes in the globe, highlighting their diversity and ranking them based on their popularity and flavour.
“TasteAtlas food rankings are based on the ratings of the TasteAtlas audience, with a series of mechanisms that recognise real users, disregard bot, nationalist, and local patriotic ratings, and give additional weight to the ratings of users that the system identifies as knowledgeable. For the ’10 Most Highly Rated Chicken Dishes in the World’ list through June 23, 2023, 7,428 ratings were recorded, of which 5,293 were deemed legitimate by the system, according to the official website.

Jujeh kabab, a chicken kebab dish from Iran, has been ranked as the best chicken dish in the globe. According to Taste Atlas, it is a pillar of Iranian cuisine and is prepared in two popular variations: one with boneless chicken and the other with chicken prepared with the bones intact. It is typically served alongside grilled tomatoes, shallots, lavash bread, or saffron rice.
Dak Galbi from Chuncheon, South Korea, and murgh makhani from India come in second and third, respectively, after Jujeh Kabab. Three additional Indian chicken dishes, tikka, tandoori murgh, and chicken 65, were ranked fourth, nineteenth, and twenty-fifth, respectively.

Taste Atlas noted that murgh makhani is likely the most well-known of all Indian dishes. “In the 1950s, a man named Kundan Lal Gujral launched his restaurant Moti Mahal in Delhi. The restaurant’s cooks combined leftover marinade juices with tomatoes and butter, and then stewed tandoor-cooked chicken in it, not realising that they had inadvertently stumbled upon one of the most beloved dishes of all time and a future international delicacy, according to the report.
